Result: Two years Community Control followed by four years probation

Client was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, High Speed Fleeing to Elude, Grand Theft Auto, Possession of Cocaine, and Driving Knowingly with a Suspended License.  After depositions benefitting Client and much negotiation with the State, Jason Mayberry was able to plea Client to a Youthful Offender downward departure sentence, dropping below the statutorily required 3 year minimum mandatory prison term associated with the Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.  Client faced a minimum of 3 years in the Florida Department of Corrections with a maximum of 50 years.  By meeting all the conditions of his Community Control in his first year, Client is eligible to cut his sentence in half and roll his sentence into only one year of community control to be followed by two years of probation.
