Case Results - State vs. GS

Result: Pretrial Diversion

GS was charged with a third degree felony count of fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer on his motorcycle. Client was clocked going 94 in a 45 mph zone and subsequently pursued by a sheriff’s deputy. Client was witnessed driving quickly down several roads and side roads, ultimately coming to a stop on a gravel road near his home. Jason Mayberry was retained and within 3 weeks of retainer, negotiated a Pre-Trial Diversion deal for his client. Florida’s Fleeing to Elude Statute commands a mandatory driver’s license suspension, in addition to other felony sanctions. A Pre-Trial Diversion agreement allows a client’s case to be dropped upon successful completion and in this case, prevention of driver’s license loss.
