Case Results - State vs. BC

RESULT: CLIENT PAID COURT COSTS ONLY

BC was charged with driving while license suspended. BC was driving in violation of their business purposes only license restriction. Having been classified as a habitual traffic offender, the State was asking for jail sentence of 60 days. Jason Mayberry reversed BC’s habitual traffic offender status by drafting a motion to the court, thereby getting BC’s full driver’s license privilege reinstated, and advised his client to enter an open plea to the Court. The Judge appreciated the fact that Mayberry was able to fully reinstate his client’s driver’s license and reverse BC’s habitual status. BC was sentenced only to pay court costs with no additional penalty.
